Wilfred “JR” Hall Jr.
Wilfred “JR”, “Junior” Hall, Jr., age 89, of Largo, FL and formerly of Lowell, MA, died Friday, April 24, 2026, with his daughter by his side.
He was born in Dracut, MA on December 25, 1936, and was the sixth of ten children born to the late Wilfred and Mary Rose (Couture) Hall.
JR started his long career in the grocery business at Clermont’s Market in Dracut then as Manager at several Star Market locations. He was the original owner of Junior’s Variety and the owner of the former Dracut Civic Club. He retired from the Dracut School System having served as the Director of Food Services.
JR is survived by his wife Arlene (Gagan) Hall, his daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Marc Gosselin and his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Gail Hall. He is also survived by his grandchildren Marc Jr. and Katie Gosselin, Jon and Caryn Gosselin, Michael Jr. and Nicole Hall, Misty Faye Hall and Colby Goodrum, and Heidi and Matt Zagorski. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Emma, Elise, Peyton, Ryan, Sean, Loxley, Sadie, and Ethan. He is also survived by his sister Patricia (Hall, Martineau) Welch and his brothers Gerard and Roger “Butch” and Sandra Hall, his sisters-in-law Doris Hall, Terry Hall and Julie Hall, and his brother-in-law and sister-in- law George “Ronnie” and Jane Gagan, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Ruth (Hall) Asselin and his brothers Clifford, Robert, Donald, Lucien and Richard “Nick” Hall.

Remembering “JR’, always with a smile and friendly beyond compare. The ‘old neighborhood’ holds a plethora of ‘kids and parents’ memories that we’ve taken to new neighborhoods, and we’ll cherish forever.
