December 16th, 1950 – July 11th 2025

Gene was born in Jamestown, New York where he spent his growing up years. He served in the United States Navy from December 1970 – December 1974. He served two years in Naples, Italy, and two Years in Charleston, South Carolina. After being discharged, his wish was to go to bible school, and he moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended the Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music, where he met his wife to be, Cynthia Tolosa. They were married on June 26, 1976.

Gene worked at Amway for 32 years as a setup mechanic.

On July 11th, 2025, Gene went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, following many health issues and Parkinson’s.

Gene is survived by his wife, Cynthia Davidson of Clearwater, FL; his daughter Tara (Doug) Kerkstra of Jenson, MI; his son Brent (Hannah) Davidson of Largo, FL; and twelve grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Larson of Cuba, NY; Janice (John) Scott of Jamestown, NY; and his brother, Vernon Davidson of Jamestown, NY.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th at 11:00AM at the New Testament Baptist Church, located at 2050 Belcher Road South, Largo, FL 33771, with pastor Matthew Trill officiating. Friends and family may meet at the church one hour prior to the service.
