Philip O’Hanlon, age 65, of Gulfport, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2025. Born in Manhasset, New York, Phil was the son of the late Maura and Raymond O’Hanlon.

Phil is survived by his life partner, Siobhan Falk; Siobhan’s children, Zachary Falk and Regan Regan; his sister, Monica O’Hanlon; and his treasured twin granddudes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maura and Raymond O’Hanlon; his five brothers— Stephen, Francis, Timothy, Gregory, and Raymond O’Hanlon— and Regan’s husband, Kevin Regan.

Phil, affectionately known as “Flip” or “Flipper”, was known for his fun-loving spirit, loud classic rock playlists, golfing, and a repertoire of bad jokes. As a fan of the Miami Dolphins, his nickname “Flipper” was earned with pride. During the Summer, he was often found floating in the pool with an ice-cold Heineken, The Rolling Stones in the background, watching a New York Yankees game.

He will be missed more than words can express by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Phil’s life will be held in July 2025 in Sea Cliff, New York.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Kevin Regan Family Foundation, an organization he passionately believed in and volunteered his time with.

I’ll never forget the many many burn fires we had together either at the beach, The Golf Course as we were sleigh riding or at hell behind North shore High School . Out days of Riding Go karts, lighting up the sky with Fireworks along with many many laughs will stay with me until we meet again. RIP flippy The Fish

I’m heartbroken to hear of Phil’s sudden passing. He was certainly a Sea Cliff fixture–a character, kind-hearted, quick-witted, irreverent, charming and compassionate. He had me laughing since I was a kid. Sending my loving condolences to all who knew and loved Phil. May we all find comfort in our happy memories of him. He will be missed.
