Paula M. Preston
Paula M. Preston, age 75, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on December 10, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on May 10, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland, Paula was the daughter of Gerhardt E. Weidig and Margaret Wood.
On July 17, 1970, in Brooksville, Pennsylvania, she married Roger R. Preston. Together, they shared 50 years of marriage. Paula worked as a dedicated bookkeeper for most of her life.
She is survived by her sons, Robert R. Preston and Allen G. Preston; her brothers, David A. Weidig and Timothy West; her closest friend, Sharon Burnett; a large extended family; and her cherished cat, Lizzy. Each of them will carry Paula’s memory forward in their own special way.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger; and her brothers Robert, Walt, Ed, and Jim Weidig.
Her family wishes to extend their gratitude to hospice nurses everywhere. The care and kindness shown during Paula’s final days brought immense comfort. In her honor, her sons ask that you support and contribute to your local hospice organizations.
Paula will be deeply missed but forever remembered. May she rest peacefully.
