Mary Ann Fekete, 89, passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2026, after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s.

Born in Maryville, Tennessee, Mary Ann embraced life with enthusiasm, joy, and an unwavering love for bringing people together. A proud Tennessee native, she could often be found on the dance floor or requesting her favorite song, Tennessee Whiskey, a tribute to the place she always held close to her heart. Mary Ann was a devoted fan of Tampa Bay sports and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her beloved Buccaneers, Lightning, and Rays. Whether attending a game, planning a cruise, or organizing a group outing, Mary Ann believed life was meant to be lived fully and shared with others.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving son, Robert Fekete; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Fekete; and her cherished grandson, Cooper Fekete; as well as her son, Michael Chesny; her beloved brother, Charles; her niece, Lisha; and her nephews, Kevin and Kip Abernathy. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, John Chesny.

Her legacy is one of joy, laughter, friendship, and a reminder to never pass up an opportunity to celebrate life.
