Jeffrey Martin Vinachi (1951–2026)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, husband, and friend Jeffrey Vinachi, who passed at the age of 74 years old after a seven-month battle with cancer. Jeffrey returned home to the Lord God’s side on the morning of June 26, 2026, when he passed peacefully in his sleep.

Jeffrey was born in Chicago, IL. in 1951 to Joseph and Dorothy Vinachi, who were also born in Chicago, IL. Jeffrey is survived by his partner, Patricia Fain; his children: Michelle Beecher, Jennifer Vinachi, Christopher Vinachi, and Jenelle Remy; his brother, Joe Vinachi; his sister, Deborah Redmond; his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and other extended family.

Jeffrey had a true passion for the art of enhancing spaces with innovative lighting and worked in this field up until the time of his passing with his dear friend and business partner, Ken Irwin. Jeffrey’s lighting designs can be seen throughout the state of Florida and the country.

Jeffrey was a man of many interests that brought joy and fulfillment to not only his life, but all his loved ones as well. He enjoyed spending his free time with his friends and family out on the open water in his boat, going to music events, and walking on the beach. He also enjoyed painting, travelling, and playing his guitar for others.

Jeffrey will always be remembered by his friends and loved ones for his gift of telling very long but funny stories and jokes inspired by his very colorful life. We could not have asked for a more amazing person to be in our lives and we will miss him dearly.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church: 750 San Salvador Dr. Dunedin, Fl 34698

There will be a visitation in the narthex at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.

The following prayer was written by Jeff’s close friend, Wilhelm. It was prayed over him many times in his final days.

Dear Heavenly Father,

With a grateful heart, I come before You today and bring my dear friend Jeff before Your throne of grace.

Thank You for redeeming him through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Thank You that he has received You as his Lord and Savior, and that his name is written in the Book of Life. You have guided him, protected him, and carried him throughout his life, and You will not forsake him now.

Lord Jesus Christ, draw especially near to him during this time. Let him deeply experience Your presence, Your peace, and Your love in his heart. Strengthen him as his body grows weak, and fill him with the living hope of eternal life.

Thank you that for Your children, death is not the end, but the doorway into Your glorious presence. Thank You that You have conquered death and that an eternal home awaits my friend—a place where there will be no more suffering, sickness, pain, or tears.

Grant Jeff peace and assurance. Help Jeff look to You with joy and confidence, knowing that You are waiting for him. May he hear Your words in his heart: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.”

Father, comfort his family, his friends, and all who love him. Strengthen their faith and fill them with the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. May they experience that Your grace is sufficient even in the most difficult moments.

Lord Jesus, hold Your faithful servant firmly in Your hands until his very last breath. And when his time comes, lovingly receive him into Your glory, where he will see You face to face.

To You alone be all honor, worship, and thanksgiving.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Amen
