Jack Harvey Faddis, Sr.
Jack Harvey Faddis, Sr., 86, passed away on December 10, 2025 with his children by his side. He passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of service and caring family. Born and raised in Galax, Virginia, Jack pursued higher education at Lynchburg College, where he earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in Physical Education.
Jack’s life was defined by honorable service. He began his career as a Naval Officer and proudly served as a Vietnam Veteran. Following his military service, he continued protecting others as a Chesapeake Police Officer, later serving his country as a DEA Federal Agent. After retiring from federal service, he continued his commitment to public safety as a Federal Courthouse Security Officer.
Jack’s time as a DEA agent was the highlight of his career. He was liked by all for his generosity and friendly nature which earned him the nickname ‘Gentleman Jack.’
Jack was predeceased by his mother, Consuella Faddis; his father, Fred Faddis; his brother, F.J. Faddis; and his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Faddis.
He is survived by his first wife and mother of his children, Deadri Horan; his daughter, Autumn Zaborowski (Jim); his son, Jack Faddis, Jr. (Laurie); and his grandchildren: Truth, Jacob, Alec, and AJ.
