Emily traveled the world, making homes in many places before settling in St. Petersburg with her husband, Grant. She was a gifted seamstress, cook, and artist; an avid auto‑racing fan; and a devoted lover of farmers markets, flea markets, theater, music festivals, gardening, and cats. She loved to chat, and following a phone call with Emily, her father often told other family members, “I listened to your sister or mother today.” With her sharp memory and storytelling talent, Emily served as a valued and reliable family historian.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family in the fall.
Emily’s family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Anthony’s Hospital, Bayside Care Center, Bayfront Hospital, and Suncoast Hospice/Empath Health for their compassionate care.
Those wishing to honor Emily’s memory are invited to donate to Hospice, the Humane Society, or an organization of their choice.
