Christine Renee Scheffley, age 55, of Holiday, FL passed away on May 6th, 2024 in their home in Holiday, FL following a long 20-year battle with a glioblastoma. Christine was born in Johnstown, PA to her mother, the late Bonnie Cruse, on August 5th, 1968. She shared 22 years of marriage with her husband, Raymond Walter Scheffley. They were united in holy matrimony on December 8th, 2001 in Wescoville, PA, at the Bethany United Methodist Church. Christine worked as an operating room technician at Easton Hospital and she was a proud member of the Bethany United Methodist Church as well. Christine lived most of her adult life in Bethlehem, PA and Drums, PA before moving to Florida. Although she knew she would not live long she wished to see her kids graduate high school, and she succeeded despite fighting the effects of the glioblastoma for 20 years. She almost made it to see two of her three children graduate college, teaching us the true meaning of will power. She will always be known as a fighter and a strong, resilient woman that loved her family with all her heart. Christine is preceded in death by her sisters, Denise Reighard and Sherry Applegate, and her mother, Bonnie Cruse. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Scheffley, her oldest son, Collin Scheffley, her daughter, Kirsten Scheffley, her youngest son, Connor Scheffley, her sisters, Shelly Anderson and Lisa Jameson, and her brother, Dave Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
