Brendan Michael Barback, age 58, of Spring Hill, FL, passed away on May 8th, 2024, at the HPH Sturgill Hospice House after bravely battling an extended illness.
Born on February 1st, 1966, in Staten Island, NY, Brendan was the beloved son of Joanne Cavanaugh Tellier and John Barback. On December 27th, 2015, he exchanged vows with his beloved Sharon Margaret Miller at the Excalibur in Las Vegas, NV, and together they cherished eight beautiful years of marriage.
Brendan will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loving wife, Sharon Miller, his sister Bridget, brothers Brett and Jason, daughter Veronica, sons Shane & Roger, stepchildren Anthony Sanders, Shelby Sanders, William Sanders, and Jamie Lopa, step-grandchildren Addison, Abbott, and Grayson Sanders, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and his cherished furbabies, Finster and Gussie. He is preceded in death by his mother, Joanne, father, John, and brother, John “Bug” Barback.
Prior to retirement, Brendan served as a dedicated maintenance supervisor. His journey led him through various places, including Staten Island, Las Vegas, Rochester, NY, Clovis, NM, and Spring Hill, FL. A man of many passions, Brendan found joy in music, displaying his talent on the drums, exploring the intricacies of car mechanics, traveling to new destinations, and nurturing his garden.
One of Brendan’s most treasured moments was fulfilling a childhood dream by marrying his second-grade crush, Sharon, after patiently waiting for 42 years. His unique love story serves as a testament to his enduring spirit and devotion.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Amanda, RNCM, Kelly, RN, Laurie, Chaplain, the HPH Hospice team, Steve, his dear friend and honorary brother, as well as all the family and friends who offered comfort and support during this challenging time.
A memorial service to celebrate Brendan’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HPH Hospice, Ziggy’s Legacy Rescue, or Tunnels to Towers, honoring Brendan’s compassionate spirit and love for others. Brendan will forever remain in our hearts, remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

I will truly miss him was the best dad ever!! Help me thru the bad rough times.
We had good times and bad times. He will always be watching over us most of y’all he taught me some awesome stuff. Gotta remember the good time😊thankful Grayson got to meet him one time.
We met at PS21 school. We were always looking for fun times and we usually found it. We grew and developed a bond that was pretty special. He played drums, and I played guitar so music was always in the mix.

Brendan was a really great person inside and out. Sharon was his Angel while he was here with us, now he will be hers. Gonna miss ya brother.
I will miss him a lot he was a top guy knew him for 40 plus years thank God he had an angel for a wife who was always there for him ….I miss going to concerts with him and some hearty partying with him .
