Adrienne Scholl Crim, 87, passed away on July 29, 2025, after a brief bout with cancer. Born on September 1, 1937, in Manhattan “Rene”, as she was affectionately known, spent most of her life in Largo, Florida. She worked in healthcare administration for 35 years, first in the private sector and later for Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. A lover of animals, Rene was happiest spending days on the farm with her horse Skittles and evenings curled up with her pit bull mix Bree. She was an avid country line dancer and traveler, having visited several countries in Europe (Germany her favorite). Rene was preceded in death by her parents, Irving Scholl and Tecla Dreifus; her daughter, Paula Weaver; and her husband, George Curtiss Crim, Jr., with whom she shared only five years of marriage but a lifetime of love. She is survived by her son, Irving Scholl Bayliss (Anne) of Yardley, PA; four granddaughters: Lindsay Bayliss Barndt (Matt) of Yardley, PA, Stephanie Bayliss of Yardley, PA, Jacqueline Scholl Kuzmin (Benjamin) of Basking Ridge, NJ, and Tabitha Weaver of Largo, FL; and four great grandchildren: Jameson and Kelly Barndt, Christopher Kuzmin, and Isabella Weaver. Rene’s family would like to thank Denise, Barb, Carolyn, Johanna, and all her friends at the barn for their care and support over the years and especially the past six months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Quantum Leap Farm, which provides equine-assisted therapies and military programs, or Equestrian, Inc., which specializes in the protection, rehabilitation, re-training, and re-homing of at-risk thoroughbred ex-racehorses.
A celebration of Rene’s life will be held, a date to be determined. “It’s easy to talk to a horse if you understand their language. Horses stay the same from the day they are born until the day they die. They are only changed by the way people treat them.” -Hilldebrand

I will miss her so much, she helped me in so many ways. She plucked me out of a desperate situation and opened a door for me to regroup. She was always a free-spirted soul and inspired me as a woman to keep pushing forward, she taught me to that true beauty never fades, she taught me that dreams of growing old with horses are not only possible but they are still as fun as they were as a child. Her inspiration touched me deep and I will never forget her, she was my best friend when I needed one the most. I love you Adrienne, I will see you again, but for now, I will keep you close in my heart.

It’s hard to put into words just how much my great-grandma meant to me. I’m so grateful for every story she shared, every lesson she taught, and every moment and every laugh we had. I will miss her dearly, but her memory will live on forever❤️.
Adrienne was very special. Our love of horses brought so many of us together. We had some great times. We will all miss her.
Adrienne will be greatly missed ❤️
