Nicholas Rodriguez
Nicholas Rodriguez Sr., 53, passed away on February 23, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1972, in Camden, New Jersey, to his mother, Zuleika Rodriguez, who survives him.
Nicholas was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. At the time of his passing, he was working as a lineman, a job that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. He was known as someone who would always show up, work hard, and do whatever he could to support the people he loved.
Above all, Nicholas was a loving father, grandfather, and devoted partner. Known as the life of the party, Nicholas had a way of lighting up any room he walked into. He never met a stranger—everyone he met quickly became a friend. His kindness, humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his significant other, Cristen Burns; his mother, Zuleika Rodriguez; and his children: Tavia Peters, Sa-Fire Nellis, Imani Carr, Nicole Brownridge, Austin Davis, Alyssa Encarnacion, Nicholas Rodriguez III, and Aliyah Rodriguez.
Nicholas was also a proud grandfather to Derek Peters Jr., Aizen Douglas, Dashaun Peters, Nevaeh Rodriguez, Zyinn Douglas, Isabella Rodriguez, Abigail Brownridge, Josiana Quarterman, Jeremiah Rodriguez, Elijah Rodriguez, Rosaliee Carr, Austin Rodriguez Jr., and Aliana Peters.
He was preceded in death by two of his children, Nicholas Rodriguez Jr. and Letesha Railey.
Nicholas will be remembered for his big heart, his laughter, and the way he brought people together. He loved his family deeply and was proud of each and every one of them. The memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Though he will be greatly missed, his spirit will always remain in the stories, laughter, and love he left behind.
A celebration of Nicholas’s life will be held on March 28, 2026, where family and friends will gather to share memories, laughter, and the love he gave so freely.

I met nick back when we worked together at the salty rim on treasure island he was my supervisor nick would always show up to work never late and put 110% into his work we would frequent txt and talk on days off he always had a smile on his face he I knew he loved his kids and wife because he would always say good things about them im glad im met nick he was a real cool dude may his spirit continue to watch over his family and friends
Dear Family, my brother Nick was a fun loving and caring man who would do anything for anyone if he could. Please keep all his fondness in your hearts and minds as you continue to build his legacy. I truly believe he wouldn’t have it any other way. Be the light to others that Nick showered you with; In the end, he’ll now do it Spiritually as he guards you from the Heavens.
