Thank you, Grandma, for sending something of him to here to me. I’m incredibly grateful to be able to send him off, as well. I had a couple of Coronas and lime with him at the shop out here between Janesville and Evansville just as the sun was setting. I hadn’t realized until just then that anytime we had Corina, it was in FL; so this time we got to drink it closer to home. The view and weather were incredible for it. Tom ended up climbing up on the deck to keep me company at some point, and I was glad to have someone to tell stories to. And after we left to go have supper and head home, I was finally able to drive the car that I’d been working on since bringing it home from auction last year. Usually it’ll take me a day or two of dragging the streets in any vehicle before I land on a name that fits the car, but I wasn’t even two miles away when it struck me that she’s named after him. So her name is Braaten (just Braat when she frustrates me).

Jim was my favorite work person and good friend. He will be sadly missed by everyone he knew. Rest in peace Jim!
