Jack Harvey Faddis, Sr., 86, passed away on December 10, 2025 with his children by his side. He passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of service and caring family. Born and raised in Galax, Virginia, Jack pursued higher education at Lynchburg College, where he earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in Physical Education.

Jack’s life was defined by honorable service. He began his career as a Naval Officer and proudly served as a Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his first wife and mother of his children, Deadri Horan; his daughter, Autumn Zaborowski (Jim); his son, Jack Faddis, Jr. (Laurie); and his grandchildren: Truth, Jacob, Alec, and AJ.

My heart-felt condolences and sincerest sympathy. I loved him when I was able to get to know him through Jack Jr. He was always the nicest man and helped us with many little projects. What a great legacy and full life. Heavenly Father just gained a good one.

Autumn. I remember uncle Jack from when I was a little kid. I remember jumping on the bed at granny Faddis’ house with him holding my hands. I also remember him teaching me how to say a few sentences in Spanish. I have never forgotten those times. May he rest in peace.
